Testimonials

I had the pleasure of working alongside Peter during the Aylmer Community Festival, where his dedication, teamwork, and genuine commitment to our community were evident every step of the way. Peter leads transparently, listens thoughtfully, and always shows up ready to get things done. Our community would be well served by his leadership on Council. I’m proud to support Peter in his campaign.” –

Councillor Kathryn Derosier

I’m writing as a member of the community to support Peter Blain as a candidate for councilor. For 40 years, Peter has been a dedicated supporter of local organizations and events, consistently giving his time and energy to make Aylmer a better place.

His nearly four decades of volunteering at the Aylmer Old Town Hall Theatre, along with his involvement in the Aylmer Optimist Club and the Aylmer Community Festival, reflect a deep commitment to this community. Peter is someone who shows up, works hard, and follows through—often putting the needs of others ahead of his own.

He is not afraid to speak up on important issues and stays connected to a wide range of people in the community. His experience, work ethic, and genuine care for Aylmer make him a strong choice for Councilor.I’ve served with Pete on local committees. He does his homework, asks tough questions, and always stays respectful and solutions-focused.

Peter Blain is an effective advocate for Aylmer’s growing community. He dedicates a significant amount of time and effort to working within the community, and his experience on several committees has given him a solid understanding of how local government operates.

Peter actively seeks out new ideas and values different perspectives. Through his leadership role with the Thames Valley District School Board, he developed strong decision-making and management skills. His many years of volunteering his technical expertise have also been a real asset to the town.

I will be voting for Peter Blain as a Council representative because he is community-minded and has the experience and skills needed to work cooperatively with a new Town Council.

“I have known Peter Blain for several years and have seen his strong commitment to accountability, transparency, and informed decision-making. He asks the questions taxpayers are asking and understands the importance of cooperation between municipalities and shared service partners. Peter cares deeply about the future of Aylmer, and I believe he would bring preparation, independence, and a taxpayer-focused perspective to Council.”
